NOTE: Some institutions disable the Q&A functionality; if you do not see the Discussions button or panel described below, check with your school's help desk to see if this is the case with your institution.
The Q&A Tab is one way to view class-specific and/or general questions and responses being posted about your course.
You can also view any class-specific questions, or post and respond to questions yourself while viewing the classroom content. Even though students can reference the location in class relevant to the questions they are posting, this may be a very helpful way for instructors to better isolate the class information that generates the most questions or discussion from students.
All questions posted from within the classroom, or questions that identify a particular class on the Q&A tab will appear in the Discussions pane of the classroom.
To monitor classroom questions/discussions
To post a question from the classroom
The question can now be viewed and responded to by students or other instructors of the section.
To respond to a question from the classroom
The Discussion panel changes to show you have responded to the question.
Click the menu arrow (also called a "chevron") located to the right of a question/response to display the Edit and Delete commands. All users can edit their own (and only their own) questions or responses. Users can also delete their own posts.
As an instructor, you can delete any questions or responses posted by students if they are inappropriate.
To endorse a particular post, click the "thumbs up" icon.
NOTE: The blue ribbon icon identifies questions you have submitted. This bookmarks all questions for the user who posts them.
