Editing Class Details

Instructors can edit the class name and description. After administrators generate a capture schedule for each course section, those classes appear in the Class List page for the course.

If you have your lectures planned for the upcoming term, you may want to edit the default titles and descriptions to the class entries, to let students know what to expect for each lecture.

IMPORTANT: DO NOT edit the date or time details for a scheduled capture set up for the section. If necessary create a new class for the appropriate date/time, or create a class with no date or time (the class must have a name).

To edit class details

  1. From the DASHBOARD, find the course containing the class you want to edit.
  2. In that course, click ALL CLASSES.
    The class list appears.
  3. Hover over the class you want to edit to expose the chevron menu on the right side of the class row.
  4. Click on the chevron to open the menu, as shown in the below figure.

  5. Click Edit details.

  6. Edit the class name and description as needed. If it is an instructor-created class, you can also edit or remove the date, time, and/or duration of the class. If there is no date, you must provide a Class name. If there is a date, you must also have a time and duration.
  7. Click Save.
    The Classes tab refreshes, and if appropriate, shows the class detail changes you made.
