Classroom Capture for Instructors

Classroom Capture is a Windows-only application that can be installed on a classroom PC, and used as a capture device for recording lectures and other classroom activities. Because it has an easy to use Windows interface, instructors can easily launch the application and use it to perform ad hoc captures, or control scheduled captures as needed.

Classroom Capture is accessed through the Start menu, as shown in the below figure, or may be available via a shortcut icon located on the desktop.

If there is a recording pending for the room, the Classroom Capture option in the Start menu also provides that information, as shown in the below figure.

BEST PRACTICE: Do not attempt to start an ad hoc capture within five minutes of the next scheduled capture. The scheduled capture requires a "preroll" period before it can begin, and any currently running ad hoc capture will be automatically stopped prior to the next scheduled capture.
